The notified text seeks to regulate the issuance, amendment, renewal, suspension and cancellation of sanitary certificates for domestic and foreign pesticides for household, industrial and public health use, and the conditions under which the control and surveillance of these products are carried out. The notified text is is binding for all natural and legal persons responsible for the manufacture, importation, exportation, storage, distribution and marketing of chemical and
biological pesticides for domestic, industrial and public health use, which are marketed throughout the national territory.

By means of this Addendum No. 3, the Republic of Ecuador advises on the corresponding comment period for the draft partial amendment to the Substitute Sanitary Technical Regulation for the issuance of sanitary certificates for, and the control and surveillance of pesticides for domestic, industrial and public health use.
