ELOT TS 1501-14-01-01-02 Preparation of concrete surfaces prior to repairing and/or strengthening works
The purpose of this Technical Specification is to lay down the requirements for the preparation of the surface of an existing concrete construction in order to then carry out works such as:
– Addition of a new layer of coating material on the surface
– Reinforcement/restoration of concrete elements that have signs of corrosion of their reinforcement
– Removal of an existing coating of concrete for the construction of an reinforcement covering
– Addition of new elements to existing bearing body by linking the new to the existing reinforcement (by placing or welding)
– Removal of loose or dismantled parts of the element’s concrete and revelation of the existing reinforcement, so that the extent and nature of the required restoration and/or reinforcement interventions can be determined (by the Supervisor of the Study).
