Draft production specifications for figs, strawberries, cultivated mushrooms and buffalo milk products of the ‘Quality Products’ Regional Quality Scheme

The Apulia Region intends to notify regarding the draft technical regulation relating to the production specifications for figs, cultivated mushrooms, strawberries and buffalo milk cheese within the scope of the ‘Quality Products’ Regional Quality Scheme, recognised by the Apulia Region with Regional Council Decision No 534 of 26 March 2014 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1305/13 and notified to the services of the European Commission in accordance with former Directive 98/34/EC with Notification 2015/0045/I.

The Regional Quality Scheme is identified by the ‘Quality Products’ mark followed by the indication ‘Quality guaranteed by the Apulia Region’, registered with the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market at No 010953875 on 15 November 2012 in accordance with Council Regulation (EC) No 207/2009.
The production specifications for figs, cultivated mushrooms and strawberries apply to the stages of production, first processing, packaging, distribution, marketing and sale.
The specification for buffalo milk products applies to the stages of animal husbandry, production of the raw material, processing, marketing and sale of the following products: mozzarella, ricotta, primo sale, burrata, stracciatella, caciotta, cacioricotta and stracchino.
