The notified Technical Regulation establishes the requirements to be met by steel panels, prior to the marketing of domestic and imported products, with the aim of protecting human safety and preventing misleading practices.

The notified Technical Regulation applies to the following products:

1.         Cold-formed steel panels, with a metallic or pre-painted metallic coating, for use in ceilings, non-load bearing walls, skirting boards and roofs;

2.         Corrugated cold-formed steel sheets, with coating.

The notified Technical Regulation does not apply to:

1.         Reused steel panels; 

2.         Steel panels of a thickness of less than 0.20 mm.
