Cocoa butter acidity levels

The notified proposed amendment has been prepared by MINSAL to update cocoa and chocolate regulations, and harmonize them with international regulations. It was noted that the Codex Alimentarius had amended the acidity parameter of cocoa butter, as set forth in Codex Stan 86 - 1981, and had revised Codex Stan 33-1981, Standard for Olive Oils and Olive Pomace Oils, meaning that the following changes need to be made to the second paragraph of Article 248 of the Food Health Regulations.
