The notified ordinance sets forth conformity assessment provisions for products falling within the scope of a mandatory standard and requirements for products that are placed on the market in Burundi. It applies to products and merchandise that are imported into or manufactured in Burundi and fall within the scope of a mandatory standard as well as to all products placed on the domestic market.
