Instruments for measuring vehicle emissions

This regulation specifies the metrological and technical requirements and tests for digital measuring equipment that serve to determine the volume fractions of certain components of the exhaust gases emanating from motor vehicles. As per the OIML R99

The regulation determines requirements of instruments using to determine the volume fraction of one or more of the following exhaust gas components:

1. carbon monoxide (CO)

2. carbon dioxide (CO 2);

3. hydrocarbons (HC, in terms of n-hexane); and

4. oxygen (O 2)
