Fermented milk products
Draft Order of the Minister for Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania amending Order No 3D-335 of the Minister for Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania of 8 July 2005 approving quality requirements for fermented milk products and repealing certain orders of the Minister for Agriculture
The Draft specifies the provisions of the Quality Requirements for Fermented Milk Products, which were approved by Order No 3D-335 of the Minister for Agriculture of 8 July 2005.
The Draft lays down general rules for the description, production and marketing of fermented milk products. The provisions of the Draft are binding on all Lithuanian companies engaged in the production, import and sale of the products defined in this Draft. The Draft also includes a mutual recognition clause, i.e. the ‘single market clause’, as defined in the Communication from the Commission COM(2017) 787 final of 19 December 2017.
The Draft contains the concepts of fermented milk products, the list of raw materials used, the quality requirements of fermented milk products, the main methods of analysis of fermented milk products in accordance with international standards.
