Curd and curd products
Draft Order of the Minister for Agriculture amending Order No 488 of the Minister for Agriculture of 11 December 2002 approving quality requirements for curd and curd products (hereinafter ‘the Draft’).
The Draft clarifies the provisions of the quality requirements for curd and curd products, which were approved by Order No 488 of the Minister for Agriculture of 11 December 2002.
The Draft lays down general rules on the description, manufacture and presentation of curd and curd products.
The provisions of the project are binding on all Lithuanian companies engaged in the production, import and sale of the products defined in this project. The Draft also includes a mutual recognition clause, i.e. the ‘single market clause’, as defined in the Communication from the Commission COM(2017) 787 final of 19 December 2017.
The Draft contains the concepts of curd and its products, the list of raw materials used, the classification of curd, its composition and quality requirements, and the main methods of analysis of curd and curd products according to international standards.
