Fishing vessels of 15 in overall length (LOA) and upwards
Regulation concerning amendments to the Regulations on the construction, operation, equipment and surveys of fishing vessels of 15 m in overall length (LOA) and upwards and amendments to other regulations.
The draft technichal regulation (DTR) suggests amendments to the Regulations on the construction, operation, equipment and surveys of fishing vessels of 15 m in overall length (LOA) and upwards ("the Construction Regulations") as well as other regulations.
The Construction Regulations dates back to 2000, and the last comprehensive revision was carried out in 2008.
During the past years, the NMA has recognised the need to amend and specify the Regulations
To a large extent the draft proposal are maintaining or relaxing present requirements, as well as codifying the existing practise, but in some areas, new requirements are introduced. New technical requirements can for example be found in:
Section 2-15 regarding anchor equipment,
Section 2-16 regarding separate bilge pumps and hatches,
Section 3-5 regarding intact stability requirements,
Sections 5-3 and 5-28 regarding fire class standard for saunas,
Section 5-9 regarding fixed means for extinguishing a fire within a duct, and
Sections 5-16a and 5-34a regarding fixed fire-extinguishing equipment over deep fryers.
The list is not exhaustive, please see attached DTR for complete overview.
