Revised Draft of the Regulations on Nutrition Claim for Prepackaged Food Products

The Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu would like to notify that the Revised Draft of "Regulations on Nutrition Claims for Prepackaged Food Products," as per G/TBT/N/TPKM/469 on 19 October 2021, was amended in response to comments received from other members. The main revisions are as follows:

1.Revision to the definition of "the nutrient for supplementary intake" and revision to the Table 3;

2.Requirements for liquid products having two or more nutrition claims to add narrative;

3.Revision to the claims that shall not be declared on the foods listed in Table 7;

4.Revision to the words of Table 7; and

5.Revision to the proposed date of entry into force.
