The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation establishes the requirements to be met by hair clippers and similar items, prior to the marketing of domestic and imported products, with a view to protecting human safety and preventing deceptive practices.
It applies to the following products: Hair clippers (including for use on animals).
The Technical Regulation does not apply to:
· Battery-powered hair clippers;
· Battery-powered shavers;
· Battery-powered epilators;
· Devices for medical use.
