Grains, seeds and other products

Modifica resolución Nº 2.677 de 1999 que establece regulaciones de importación para granos y otros productos, destinados a consumo e industrialización (Amendment to Resolution No. 2.677 of 1999 establishing import regulations for grains, seeds and other products for consumption and processing) Language(s): Spanish Number of pages: 5

In accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 3.815 of 2003 of the Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG), a pest risk analysis has been conducted for canola (Brassica napus L.) seeds originating in Canada. This has made it possible to establish the relevant phytosanitary requirements. SAG has also conducted a pest risk analysis for Tribolium madens, which determined that this pest is a quarantine pest for Chile and that canola (Brassica napus L.) seeds are one of its possible pathways of introduction. Furthermore, through oversight, phosphine treatment against insects of the Bruchidae family and Prostephanus truncatus (Coleoptera Bostrichidae) and the alternative treatment for cases in which treatments against Trogoderma granarium and insects of the Bruchidae family are requested, were removed. They must therefore be added to this legislation. The notified text thus establishes the import regulations for grains, seeds and other products for consumption and processing.
