Health functional food products
The main proposed amendment of the "Standards and Specifications of Health Functional Foods" as the following;
• Adds a definition of "film" to the sub article 5 "Definition and types of products"
• Revises the definition of functional raw ingredient in common standard and specification: from "processed raw ingredients from animal, plant and microorganism" to "processed raw ingredients from animal, plant, microorganism, and water, etc."
• Expands the scope of applicants who are qualified to use functional ingredients. - Revise the qualification to use functional ingredients recognized under the Regulation on Approval of Functional Ingredients for Health Functional Food from "business operators with certification" to "people with certification"
• Adds edible insects to the list of food ingredients which can be used as raw materials of Protein
• Adds test methods for film-type functional ingredients and Propolis extracts (Á-coumaricacid)
