Food additives, eggproducts, edible vinegars and infant foods

According to article 9 of the Act Governing Food and SafetySanitation, the MOHW shall regulate the designated food businesses to establishtraceability system in order to trace the source and track the flow. Since 2014, the MOHWhas designated 19 categories of food businesses to establish their own traceability system.Based on risk evaluation and food safety consideration, this draft amendment will add3 more categories (namely egg products, edible vinegars and infant foods) of foodbusinesses to establish the traceability system.Besides, to strengthen the management of food additives products, the implementationdate of requirements for certain scales of food additives importers and manufacturers withbusiness registration, company registration or factory registration to use electronic uniforminvoices will advance from 1 January 2019 to 1 January 2018.
