Proposed Amendments to the Standards and Specifications for Foods.

The proposed amendment seeks to:1. Expand the list of Raw materials permitted to be used in foods.Add commodities such as Allomyrina dichotoma, Protaetia brevitarsis, Kajime(Ecklonia cava), the bulbil of East Asian mountain yam (Dioscorea batatas Decaisne)and Weissella cibaria into the list.2. Establish and revise the maximum residue limits for two newly registered pesticides(Cyclaniliprole and Pyflubumide) in foods, and expand the range of target agriculturalproducts for 90 pesticides.3. Etablish and revise the maximum residue limits for certain veterinary drugs(Cyproheptadine, Iodohydroxy quinoline sulfonic acid and Flumethasone) in foods.4. Modify the terminologies and wordings in the Standards and Specifications for Foods.Establish definitions for certain terminologies such as infants and children.
