Revision of the Mandatory Standard SI 62552 part 2, dealing with household refrigerating appliances. This proposed standard revision adopts the European Standard EN 62552-2: April 2020, with a few changes that appear in the standard's Hebrew section. The major difference between the old version and this new revised proposed standard is the removal of the volume limitation requirement.

All sections of this revised standard will be mandatory after the entry into force, except for the following:

·        Section 7 - Cooling capacity test;

·        Section 9 - Automatic ice-making capacity test;

·        Annex A - Pull-down test;

·        Annex D - Water vapour condensation test.

Both the old standard and this new revised standard will apply from entry into force of this revision for a period of two years. During this time, products may be tested according to the old or the new revised standard.
