The regulation applies to nutrition labelling of pre-packaged foods for human consumption that are marketed for direct sale in the territories of Central American countries. Packaging units that have a largest surface area of less than 10 cm2 are also exempt. The label must be affixed to secondary packaging, if there is any. Fermented and distilled alcoholic beverages are excluded from the scope of application of this regulation.
