Establece requisitos fitosanitarios de importación para microbulbos seminales de Lilium spp. destinados a propagación, procedentes de los Estados miembros de la Comunidad Europea (Phytosanitary requirements governing the importation into Chile of seminal microbulbs of Lilium spp. for propagation purposes from European Community Member States)
1. For the purposes of this Resolution, seminal microbulbs of Lilium spp. shall be taken to mean the reproductive structures obtained through the rescue or harvesting of embryos from seed pods.
2. The phytosanitary requirements for importing, from European Community Member States, microbulbs of Lilium spp. obtained through the rescue of seminal embryos, are as follows:
2.1. Consignments must be covered by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the plant health authority of the relevant European Community Member State, containing no additional declarations, but indicating that the consignment contains seminal microbulbs of Lilium spp.;
2.2. The material to be imported must come from an officially certified production programme or from germplasm nurseries or repositories controlled by the official plant health authority of the exporting country;
2.3. Consignments must be free of soil and quarantine diseases;
2.4. Accompanying substrates and/or materials used to protect the seedlings or preserve humidity must comply with existing phytosanitary requirements governing the entry of inert substrates for plants;
2.5. Packaging must be new (repackaging is not permitted), closed, resistant to handling, and labelled or marked in accordance with the Service regulations currently in force. 2.6. For materials modified genetically by modern biotechnology, the importer must declare their genetic status and comply with SAG regulations establishing requirements for their importation and release into the environment.
3. SAG officials at the authorized port of entry will inspect the consignments upon their arrival in Chile, verify their compliance with the relevant requirements and phytosanitary conditions, and decide, on the basis of the accompanying documentation, whether their entry should be authorized or whether appropriate measures should be adopted in accordance with existing legislation.
