Draft Decree on construction requirements

The Building Act obliges legal entities and natural persons as well as administrative authorities to proceedaccording to general technical requirements for construction when designing, situating, permitting, building,approving, using and demolishing buildings. The draft regulates in more detail the basic requirements forbuildings, namely mechanical durability and stability of safety in use, energy savings, thermal protection andmore. These basic requirements are supplemented by additional requirements in individual cases. In additionto general formulations, they focus on more detailed technical design of building structures and buildingequipment, with specific details left to technical standards.
