General advice on the appropriate methodology for the calculation of sound levels in respect of roadcharacteristics

Decision amending the Swedish Transport Agency’s regulations and general guidelines (TSFS 2021:122) oncharacteristics requirements for roads, streets, tramways and metros (construction rules)

Amendment of general advice to Chapter 7 Section 1 of TSFS 2021:122, which shall be applied byconstructors (mainly the Swedish Transport Administration, municipalities and its contractors) in the design andconstruction of roads (construction works). The amendment amends the recommendation on the appropriatemethod for calculating noise/sound levels from Nord96 to the more accurate Nord2000 method. Advice is alsoprovided on where to get appropriate guidance on the methodology.

There is a mutual recognition clause in the basic statute, but it is not relevant to the submitted proposal whichis only general advice.
