Production methods and use of mobile homes

Draft Act amending the Burgenland Campsite and Mobile Home Site Act

The draft act stipulates that the production methods for mobile homes should be modernised and their use adapted to current conditions.

The key term 'mobile home' has been redefined, as interpretation problems have often arisen in practical implementation to date. To ensure personal protection is adequate, the minimum distance between neighbouring mobile homes has been determined in accordance with preventive fire safety requirements.

While the act specifies the necessary minimum requirements for mobile homes, the mobile home site provider must specify the framework conditions regarding the type (structure) and design of mobile homes, as well as the permissibility of ancillary facilities (e.g. swimming pools, biotopes, enclosures, etc.) in installation and design guidelines.

The mobile home site provider must have the mobile home site checked every six years to ensure that it complies with the permit notice and installation plan.
