Law regulating the marketing of breast-milk substitutes
The regulatory objective of the Law is to establish the legal framework for the marketing of breast-milk substitutes to ensure their correct use, as well as for the practice relating to the provision of accurate, objective and consistent information to consumers. According to the explanatory notes, the Law is based on the principles of the International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk Substitutes and aims to ensure an adequate and healthy diet for infants and young children.Key words: breast-feeding, complementary food, breast-milk substitutes
