Fishery products intended for human consumption

Draft Order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine "On Amendments to Some Orders on Importing (Sending) into the Customs Territory of Ukraine of Fishery Products Intended for Human Consumption". Language(s): Ukrainian. Number of pages: 12

The draft Order provides for amendments to the import requirements and the form of international certificate for fishery products in terms of:

-        fishery product categories that are not subject to animal health requirements;

-        requirements regarding the status of the areas of origin of molluscs from which fishery products are obtained.

Requirements for importing (sending) into the customs territory of Ukraine of live animals, their reproductive material, food products of animal origin, feed, hay, straw, as well as animal by-products and derived products are stipulated by the Order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine of 16 November 2018 No. 553.

The Order also provides for the approval of a new version of the form of international certificate for importing (sending) into the customs territory of Ukraine of fishery products intended for human consumption, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine of 14 July 2020 No. 1329. The draft Order is developed taking into account the requirements of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/2235 of 16 December 2020 laying down rules for the application of Regulations (EU) 2016/429 and (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards model animal health certificates, model official certificates and model animal health/official certificates, for the entry into the Union and movements within the Union of consignments of certain categories of animals and goods, official certification regarding such certificates and repealing Regulation (EC) No 599/2004, Implementing Regulations (EU) No 636/2014 and (EU) 2019/628, Directive 98/68/EC and Decisions 2000/572/EC, 2003/779/EC and 2007/240/EC as well as updated EU approaches to the requirements for the status of shellfish origin areas from which fish products are obtained.
