This standard covers common quality characteristics for all types of transmission pulley. This standard covers quality levels of finishing and balancing issues for transmission pulleys and test pulleys.

This standard is applied to v-belts, v combed belts and transmission pulleys for straight or synchronized belts.

This standard does not apply to variable speed pulleys with one or more moving flanges. Other characteristics of the transmission pulleys can be found in the relevant international standards.
