The draft ministerial regulation mandates medical oxygen to conform with the standard for Medical Oxygen (TIS 540-2564(2021).

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) is in the process of withdrawing the standard for Medical Oxygen (TIS 540-2555(2012) and the standard for Medical Oxygen (TIS 540-2564(2021) will be replaced. This standard covers only medical oxygen. It specifies general requirements, other properties e.g., purity, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, humidity, oxidizing substance. It also includes containers and packaging, mark and label, sampling and criteria for conformity and analysis.
