·         The proposed amendment to Regulation 161 of the Food Regulations 1985 is to include the maximum permitted number of parasite allowed in one (1) kilogram of canned fish and only applies to canned fish prepared from sardine and mackerel.

·         The insertion of new Regulation 43A to the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 is to describe the cleaning procedure for fish intended for canning. 

.         The proposed amendment to the Fourth Schedule of the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 is to include the new Regulation 43A into the list of compoundable offences.
