The notified draft Mexican Official Standard establishes the technical inspection criteria for determining the physical and mechanical conditions of vehicles with a gross vehicle weight not exceeding 3,857 kg, in order to circulate under safe conditions in the national territory. It also determines the requirements and minimum obligations to be fulfilled for conformity assessment, and the bodies authorized to conduct a technical inspection of the physical and mechanical conditions of vehicles.
