Revision of the partially Mandatory Standard SI 60968, dealing with self-ballasted fluorescent lamps. This draft standard revision adopts the International Standard IEC 60968 - Edition 3.0: 2015-02, with a few changes that appear in the standard's Hebrew section. This edition includes the following significant technical changes concerning the previous edition, where additions have been made to the following:
· Caps and prevention of cap misuse;
· Interchangeability;
· Mechanical and electrical strength;
· Creepage distances and clearances;
· End of lamp life precaution;
· Abnormal operation;
· Test conditions for dimmable and three-way lamps;
· Water contact related marking;
· Verification and assessment;
· Information for luminaire design in the form of annexes.
All requirements of the new revised standard will be declared mandatory.
