SI 751 part 1 - Mineral wool for thermal insulation: Formed products for thermal insulation of buildings (8 pages in Hebrew and 51 pages in English); SI 751 part 2 - Mineral wool for thermal insulation: Formed products for thermal insulation of industrial buildings (7 pages in Hebrew and 34 pages in English).

Revision of the partially Mandatory Standard SI 751, dealing with mineral wool for thermal insulation, To be replaced with SI 751 parts 1 and 2. These draft standard revisions adopt the following standards:

  • SI 751 part 1 adopts both the European Standard EN 13162:2012+A1: February 2015 and the American Standard ASTM C726 – 12, with a few changes and national deviations that appear in the standard's Hebrew section and allows for compliance with either;

  • SI 751 part 2 adopts both the European Standard EN 14303: December 2015, with a few changes and national deviations that appear in the standard's Hebrew section.

 The following sections of the new revised standard's parts will be declared mandatory:

  • In the European route of compliance of SI 751 part 1:

    • Section 1 - Scope;

    • Section 2 - Normative references;

    • Section 4.2.6 - Reaction to fire of the product as placed on the market;

    • Section 8 - Marking and labelling, except for the requirement of the new national marking requirement.

  • In the American route of compliance of SI 751 part 1:

    • Section 1 - Scope;

    • Section 2 - Normative references;

    • Section 12.6 - Surface burning characteristics of building materials;

    • Section 14 - Packing and marking, except for the requirement of the new national marking requirement.

  • In SI 751 part 2:

    • Section 1 - Scope;

    • Section 2 - Normative references;

    • Section 4.2.4 - Reaction to fire of the product as placed on the market;

    • Section 5.3.3 - Reaction to fire;

    • Section 8 - Marking and labelling, except for the requirement of the new national marking requirement.
