The notified Regulations establish provisions on sanitary regulation, control and promotion to be met by natural and legal persons, which grant sanitary authorizations for foods and beverages, the raw materials used for such foods and beverages, and establishments engaged in the production, processing, handling, retailing, packaging, conservation, importation, exportation, storage, transportation, distribution, marketing of and other activities of sanitary interest involving foods and beverages and the raw materials used for such foods and beverages, including hotel services, and the advertising of such foods and beverages and raw materials, with the aim of protecting public health. The notified Regulations apply to natural and legal persons producing, processing, handling, retailing, packaging, conserving, importing, exporting, storing, transporting, distributing, marketing and advertising foods and beverages and the raw materials used for such foods and beverages, and to establishments involved in any related activity, including hotel services, within the national territory.
