This decision governs Egyptian Food Safety Authority approach to manage the risks related to contaminants and determine the maximum limits of chemical contaminants in food for the purpose of controlling and conforming chemical pollutant levels to Codex and relevant international standards in order to achieve NFSA's main objective of ensuring that food safety requirements are fulfilled so that human health and safety can be maintained.
