The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation establishes the requirements to be met by edible fats and oils, prior to the marketing of domestic and imported products, with the aim of protecting human health and preventing deceptive practices.

It applies to the following products:

17.  Lard

18.  Margarine

19.  Industrial margarine 

It does not apply to reused edible fats and oils.
