The purpose of the notified Technical Regulation is to establish the energy efficiency requirements and conformity assessment procedures applicable to cookers, hobs, cooktops, induction hobs and electric ovens for domestic use that are manufactured, imported (new or used), used and marketed in Costa Rica. Under this Regulation, the only products that may be imported and marketed are those meeting these requirements. It also applies to electric cookers, hobs, induction hobs, cooktops and electric ovens that use a supply of 60 Hz AC with a nominal system voltage of 120 or 240 V.
