This standard specifies the safety requirements for the design, manufacture, installation, and use of industrial centrifuges with metal drum machines. The safety requirements and measures included in this standard are aimed at some major hazards that may occur during the design, manufacture, installation, and use of centrifuges, not all hazards.

This standard also specifies the usage information of centrifuges and the inspection and judgment methods of the safety performance of centrifuges. This standard is applicable to all industry centrifuges (including industry dehydrator).
