The notified protocol establishes the certification procedure and safety requirements for child-appealing portable luminaires on a supply voltage not exceeding 250 V a.c. 50Hz. It includes all types of caps and lamps. The scope of the protocol extends to luminaires with two-dimensional graphic reproductions of persons or animals (real or imaginary), characters or scale models on removable shades.
