Telecommunication equipment, radio equipment and telecommunication terminal equipment

Draft revision of the Ordinance of the Swiss Federal Office of Communications on telecommunications installations (OOIT) (2 page(s), in German; 2 page(s), in French; 2 page(s), in Italian)

The Ordinance of the Swiss Federal Office of Communications on telecommunications installations (OOIT) specifies the basic technical requirements with regard to telecommunications installations set out by the Swiss Federal Council. It regulates the use of radio spectrum in Switzerland. A RIR for GBAS (Ground Based Augmentation System) will be introduced (RIR0102-07). Another RIR for ASDE (Airport Surface Detection Equipment) in the Frequency Range 9000 – 9500 MHz will be introduced (RIR0103-07). For the already existing RIR (RIR1003-07, RIR1003-08) the possibility of alternative mitigation techniques with equivalent effect will be mentioned due to changes in the ERC/REC 70-03. For data networks two RIR will be introduced in the frequency range 917.3 – 917.7 MHz according the ERC/REC 70-03 (RIR1003-13, RIR1003-14). In order to protect E-GSM-R the frequency Range 918.5 – 918.9 MHz, which is also foreseen by the ERC/REC 70-03, will not be usable. For person detection and collision avoidance one RIR in the frequency range 442.2 – 450 kHz will be introduced according to the ERC/REC 70-03 (RIR1003-15). For ULP-WMCE (Ultra Low Power Wireless Medical Capsule Endoscopy) one RIR in the frequency range 430 – 440 MHz will be introduced according to the ERC/REC 70-03 (RIR1006-12). For Non-specific SRDs one RIR in the frequency range 862 – 863 MHz will be introduced according to the ERC/REC 70-03 (RIR1008-43). The frequency range of the already existing RIR1010-07 will be extended from 57 - 66 GHz to 57 – 71 GHz according the ERC/REC 70-03. Another two RIR for wideband data transmission systems in the same frequency band will be introduced; one for fixed outdoor installations only and one for in- and outdoor applications according the ERC/REC 70-03 (RIR1010-09, RIR1010-10).
