Vaping Products including e-cigarettes, e-liquids; Tobacco, tobacco products and related equipment (ICS 65.160)

Proposed Vaping Products' Sensory Attributes Regulations (3 pages, available in English and in French) and proposed Order Amending Schedule 2 and 3 to the Tobacco and Vaping Products Act (Flavours) (71 pages, available in English and in French)

The proposed Regulations would establish sensory standards for vaping products manufactured or imported for sale in Canada. Vaping products would have to have sensory attributes that would result in a sensory perception that is typical for tobacco, mint, menthol of a combination of mint and menthol. The proposed Order would amend the list of prohibited ingredients in vaping products set out in the Tobacco and Vaping Products Act by adding sugars and sweeteners. It would also add flavouring ingredients with some exceptions for ingredients that impart a tobacco, mint, menthol or mint/menthol flavour. The proposed Order would also amend the list of flavours whose promotion, including on the packaging, is prohibited to only exclude tobacco, mint, menthol or a combination of mint and menthol from this list.
