The sale of fuel for motor vehicles, mobile machines, tractors in agriculture and leasure boats

Changes in the regulation relating to restrictions on the manufacture, import, export, sale and use of chemicals and other products hazardous to health and the environment (the Product Regulation)

Entities that sell liquid fuel for use in road traffic shall make sure that at least 17 volume percent of the total amount of liquid fuel sold per year consists of biofuel. Biogas is excluded from the requirement.

At least 12,5 volume percent of the total amount shall be advanced biofuel.

Entities that sell liquid fuel for use in air traffic (excluding military air traffic) shal make sure that at least 0,5 volume percent of the total amount of liquid fuel sold per year consists of advanced
biofuel. Biogas is excluded from the requirement.

Entitites that sell liquid fuel for other use than road traffic, air traffic and commercial shipping, shall make sure that 6 or 10 (to be decided after public hearing) volume percent of the total amount of liquid fuel sold per year consists of advanced biofuel. Biogas is excluded from the requirement.

The amendments will enter into force 1st July 2022.
