Decree of [date] amending the Mining Decree (amendments for changes to the permitting system for geothermal energy detection and extraction)

The amendment to the Mining Decree [Mijnbouwbesluit] further elaborates rules on geothermal energy detection and extraction in the Mining Act [Mijnbouwwet]. Articles 29q(1)(a) and 29t(1)(a) may contain technical regulations. These articles contain requirements on the design of wells drilled for detection and extraction. The well must feature a double barrier at the fresh and brackish water layers or another facility that offers at least an equivalent assurance of well integrity.

The text does not provide a mutual recognition clause because it does not contain any provisions specifically related to domestic products from the Netherlands for which equivalent foreign requirements might apply.
