The purpose of this Technical Specification is the insulation of airducts for the intake, return and recirculation of air-conditioned or pre-conditioned air with glasswool or rockwool slabs or blankets.
Where there is no requirement for the application of fire-resistant insulation of the elements in an air-conditioning airducts network, in which case materials based on rockwool or glasswool are used under this Technical Specification, air duct insulation with foamed elastomeric materials may be applied in accordance with the Technical Specification ELOT TS 1501-04-07-02-02.
