The purpose of this Technical Specification is to define the conditions, requirements and method of performing flash butt thermite welding of track switches for continuous welded rail tracks.
Switches incorporated into lines with continuous welded rail tracks and line electrical circuits for signalling, without expansion devices, must be accompanied by all necessary materials to ensure that after their on site assembly and the execution of welding works these switches are ready for circulation.
