Regulation on cableways

Key proposed changes in the regulations on cableways are:

- removing the requirement for the operations manager to be certified by the authority
- a new presumtion of acceptable safety level for cableways constructed and operated in conformity with standards
- clarification of requirements to the safety management system
- new requirements to keep the cableway track clear, and for cableway stations to have necessary barriers
- clarification that maintenance includes controls
- repealing special provisions on cableways approved acoording to rules that applied prior to 2004, including special provisions for cables
- several linguistic adjustments not ment to materially change the rules
