Draft Amendment of the Order of the Director of the State Food and Veterinary Service “On the Order No. B1-126 of 13 February 2012 of the Director of the State Food and Veterinary Service ‘Regarding the veterinary requirements for the supply of fresh meat from poultry and lagomorphs to the local market in small quantities’”.

The State Food and Veterinary Service has prepared a Draft Amendment of veterinary requirements for the supply of fresh meat from poultry and lagomorphs to the local market in small quantities approved by Order No. B1-126 of 13 February 2012 of the Director of the State Food and Veterinary Service ‘Regarding the veterinary requirements for the supply of fresh meat from poultry and lagomorphs to the local market in small quantities’ (hereinafter referred to as the “Draft”). The Draft lays down the requirements for the suppliers of fresh meat from food-producing poultry and lagomorphs (hereinafter referred to as fresh meat) in small quantities; also the

requirements for the persons handling fresh meat; the requirements for the facilities processing fresh meat and the requirements for the production of fresh meat. The requirements shall apply to the persons supplying small quantities of fresh meat to the local market, who produce food-producing poultry or lagomorphs at the place where the animals are kept and who slaughter no more than the total number of 250 of food-producing poultry or lagomorphs per week (but not more than 1 tonne of fresh meat) and who supply small quantities of fresh meat to the final consumer or to the local retail establishments, which are located within a distance of not more
than 100 km from the production site.
