Narcotic and psychotropic substances and preparations used in veterinary medicine.

Draft Government Decision amending the Annex to Government Decision No 1915/2006 approving the implementing rules for the provisions of Law No 339/2005 on the legal status of narcotic and psychotropic plants, substances and preparations

1. Article 28 now reads as follows:

‘Article 28. – Veterinary medical assistance units using narcotic and psychotropic substances and preparations shall be subject to official controls, in accordance with the legal provisions in force.’
2. Article 34 now reads as follows:
‘Article 34. – The College of Veterinarians [Colegiul Medicilor Veterinari] shall organise the printing, distribution, serialising and numbering of the veterinary medicine prescription forms provided for in Article 64.’
3. Article 53(1) now reads as follows:
‘(1) The composition of the Commission for the destruction of narcotic and psychotropic plants, substances and preparations used in human medicine or in veterinary medicine shall be as follows:
a) one representative of the Ministry of Health or a representative thereof designated by the Ministry from the management of the county directorate of public health, or that of the municipality of Bucharest, for the destruction of narcotic and psychotropic plants, substances and preparations used in human medicine, or, where applicable, a representative of the county (or municipality of Bucharest) Directorate of Veterinary Health and Food Safety, for the destruction of narcotic and psychotropic plants, substances and preparations used in veterinary medicine;
b) one representative of the commercial company performing the destruction;
c) one representative of the regional body against the trafficking and illicit consumption of drugs.’
