Digital receivers of digital terrestrial television broadcasting

Draft Regulation of the Minister for Digitisation amending the Regulation on the technical and operational requirements for digital receivers

The amendment to the Regulation introduces requirements for hybrid TV (HbbTV) in the indicated version, i.e. at least 2.0.1, and its corresponding ETSI TS 102 796 V1.4.1 (2016-08) technical specifications for internet-connectable receivers, which will enhance its attractiveness to viewers.

The draft Regulation will be issued on the basis of the statutory authorisation under Article 132(3) of the Telecommunications Act of 16 July 2004 (Journal of Laws [Dziennik Ustaw] 2018, item 1954, as amended), in accordance with which the Minister responsible for computerisation shall determine, by way of a regulation, the technical and operational requirements for digital receivers, bearing in mind the need to ensure their compatibility and accessibility for disabled persons.
