Part 2 - Features of products or systems for repair and regulations on the use thereof

The technical rules for maintenance of concrete structures part 2 regulate the requirements for products and systems for the protection and repair of structural elements made of concrete, reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete in accordance with the standards DIN EN 1992-1-1, DIN EN 206-1, DIN EN 13670 and the DIN 1045 series of standards and their predecessors. The performance of products and systems necessary to meet the basic requirements for concrete structures or concrete structural elements for maintenance is derived and defined in terms of its characteristics.

The technical rules contain, amongst other aspects, application-specific requirements for the performance of products and systems for surface protection, for closing, sealing and filling in cracks/crack flanks with non-positive and elastic crack fillers as well as for repair with concrete substitute.

The notified technical rules make reference to the German Committee for Structural Concrete [Deutscher Ausschuss für Stahlbeton - DafStb] Guideline - Protection and repair of concrete structural elements (repair guideline - October 2001 edition, including corrections 1 and 3), the provisions of which are partially supplemented or replaced.
