Draft Act on metrology and on amendments to certain related acts (Metrology Act)

The draft Act on metrology and on amendments to certain related acts (Metrology Act) stipulates, for purposes of uniformity and for the accuracy of measuring instruments and measurements, the rights and obligations of persons and public authorities and the exercise of public administration. The draft Act thus particularly stipulates categories of measuring instruments, requirements for the placing and making available on the market of specified measuring instruments and their use. In addition, the Act stipulates requirements for authorised persons that perform verification of specified measuring instruments and ensure the performance of official measurements, as well as requirements for registered entities that perform the installation and repair of specified measuring instruments. The draft Act also regulates the area of pre-packaged goods marked with the ‘e’ symbol, pre-packaged goods not marked with the ‘e’ symbol, and bottles marked with the ‘ɜ’ symbol in terms of placing and making them available on the market.
