Streets set up as single shared traffic platforms (pedestrian and vehicle)

Order amending Technical Standard 2 adopted by Decree 13/2007 of 15 March 2007 governing the Technical Regulation implementing provisions on the promotion of accessibility and removal of architectural barriers

Roadways set up as single platforms with space shared between persons and vehicles shall meet the following conditions:

a) implementation of this roadway model is to be justified with a mobility study;

b) pedestrian traffic is to take priority throughout the platform;

c) it is only to be implemented in locations where the appropriateness of the coexistence of road traffic and pedestrian traffic is justified;

d) there are to be no regular collective public service lines for passengers;

e) vehicle traffic intensity is to be low.
