Charentais melons produced in France

Order extending an inter-branch agreement concluded within the framework of the Inter-branch Association of the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Industry (INTERFEL) and relating to the grading and packaging of Charentais melons – 2020–2022 marketing years

The draft Order extends an agreement intended to improve the quality of melons produced in France throughout the marketing year for French and foreign markets.

The agreement applies to varieties grown from Cucumis melo L. and specified as 'CHARENTAIS' in UNECE standard FFV-23 Melons. It determines a minimum weight, grading scale and correspondence between the weight and the number of fruit.

The agreement does not apply to melons intended for industrial processing or to melons sold directly to consumers by producers at their place of business and from their production.
